Letter from the President

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the SSVP Website!!!

This is indeed an important milestone for all of us. We can not remain at a far distance from one another and specially the poor, the oppressed, the displaced and the vulnerable. The website is now a ready answer to the problem. It is a fulfillment of our beloved patron’s mandate to all lay members and his confreres. A well known author once wrote: “Funny, charming, impassioned candid Vincent de Paul had an extraordinary capacity to connect with all types of people and to move them to be influenced with the Gospel and to live their lives in charity and as donors to the poor and the displaced. His basic vision was simply that the God News of Jesus Christ should be announced to the poor through word and all that could, should”.

Blsd. Frederic Ozanam, our founder, followed the words of wisdom of our beloved patron St. Vincent who reminded his confreres and lay members the need to “aggregate and associate to one another and to the aforesaid work to live together… to devote yourselves to the salvation of the poor country folk.”

Our website is a means to revitalize our inter-connections with one another and to intensify our collaborative efforts in reaching out to the least of our brothers.

Attached to your hi and hello is a fraternal love for one another and for the poor. For “love, indeed is inventive unto infinity”… (SVP) It is important to work on expediting our services for the poor and the needy. Let’s keep in touch with one another!
